Top Leaders Pay Tribute to Hồ Chí Minh on Public Security Forces’ 80th Anniversary

Hanoi, August 18, 2025 – The Europe Today: A high-ranking delegation of Party and State leaders on Sunday paid tribute to President Hồ Chí Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi to mark the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Public Security Forces (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the All-People Security Safeguard Festival (August 19, 2005).

The delegation comprised Party General Secretary Tô Lâm, State President Lương Cường, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn, and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Trần Cẩm Tú.

Former senior leaders, including former Party General Secretary Nông Đức Mạnh, former State President Trương Tấn Sang, former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân, and former Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, also joined the commemorative activity.

Throughout his revolutionary career, President Hồ Chí Minh devoted special affection and close guidance to the People’s Public Security Forces, who have since played a pivotal role in safeguarding national security, preserving peace, and contributing to the country’s revolutionary victories.

On this occasion, the leaders highlighted the unwavering determination of all officers and soldiers of the People’s Public Security Forces to uphold their 80-year tradition of loyalty and heroism. The forces pledged to continue promoting revolutionary virtues, placing the interests of the nation and the people above all else, fulfilling all assigned tasks, and writing new chapters in their proud history of service to the Fatherland.

Following the tribute at the mausoleum, the delegation offered incense in commemoration of fallen heroes at the monument on Bắc Sơn Street in Hà Nội.

Also on Sunday morning, a delegation of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, led by General Lương Tam Quang, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, and Minister of Public Security, paid floral tribute to President Hồ Chí Minh at his mausoleum and offered incense at the Bắc Sơn monument.
