Kyiv, August 24, 2025 – The Europe Today: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, First Lady Olena Zelenska, and Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney paid tribute to fallen Ukrainian heroes in Kyiv, the official website of the President of Ukraine reported.
Prime Minister Carney arrived in the Ukrainian capital today to take part in events marking the 34th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence.
Together, President Zelenskyy, First Lady Zelenska, and Prime Minister Carney walked along the Alley of Remembrance for the Fallen Warriors and laid flowers at the Wall of Remembrance.
The ceremony concluded with a moment of silence in honor of Ukraine’s defenders who sacrificed their lives for the nation.
