Azerbaijani Servicemen Depart for Türkiye to Join Mountain Commando Training

Baku, August 27, 2025 – The Europe Today: A new group of servicemen from Azerbaijan’s Combined Arms Army has departed for Isparta, Türkiye, to participate in the Mountain Commando Course under the framework of the military education cooperation agreement between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, the Ministry of Defense reported.

The training program, conducted under the command of the Mountain Commando School and Training Center, will provide Azerbaijani servicemen with advanced knowledge of modern combat methods applicable both day and night in diverse operational conditions. Participants will also gain practical skills in utilizing the capabilities of new technologies in combat environments.

According to the ministry, the primary objective of the course is to further enhance the combat skills of commando units and to raise the level of professionalism of Azerbaijan’s military personnel.

The program reflects the ongoing strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the defense sector, aimed at strengthening the readiness and interoperability of their armed forces.
