Indonesia Extends Humanitarian Aid Deliveries to Gaza

Jakarta, August 27, 2025 – The Europe Today: Indonesia has announced the continuation of its humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, where the humanitarian crisis caused by the ongoing Israeli war continues to worsen.

Brigadier General Frega Wennas Inkiriwang, spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, confirmed on Tuesday that the initiative is in line with the government’s directive to reach more Palestinians suffering from famine and displacement in Gaza.

“Aid deliveries are ongoing. Today, the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) deployed a C-130 A-1343 Hercules aircraft carrying 26 members of the Garuda Merah Putih II Task Force from Jakarta,” Inkiriwang said in an official statement.

He noted that all preparations had been finalized, including 1,200 parachutes, crew documents, and other technical support equipment to ensure the smooth execution of the mission. As in previous operations, the TNI AU aircraft will airdrop the supplies after departing from a Jordanian airbase.

Inkiriwang further revealed that the Indonesian government is also making preparations to dispatch additional humanitarian aid to Gaza through Egypt by the end of August.

The move underscores Indonesia’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Palestinian people amid one of the most severe humanitarian crises in recent years.
