Samarkand, August 27, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan adopted a Joint Statement on strengthening bilateral partnership following high-level talks in Samarkand.
The discussions reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to deepen cooperation across political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. As a result of the visit, a total of 15 bilateral documents were signed, laying the foundation for long-term collaboration.

- Agreement on Extradition;
- Agreement on the Promotion and Protection of Investments;
- Agreement on the Establishment of a Joint Commission;
- Agreement on the Abolition of Visa Requirements;
- Cooperation Agreement in Higher Education and Scientific Research;
- Cooperation Agreement in Tourism;
- Protocol on Introducing Amendments to the Intergovernmental Agreement on Air Services;
- Protocol on Online Exchange of Preliminary Information on the Movement of Goods and Vehicles;
- Cooperation Agreement in Agriculture;
- Cooperation Agreement in Plant Protection and Quarantine;
- Cooperation Agreement in Veterinary Medicine;
- Memorandum on Standardization, Metrology, and Conformity Assessment;
- Interagency Memoranda of Understanding on Religious Affairs;
- Plan of Practical Measures for the Implementation of the Agreements Reached.
The agreements are expected to significantly expand trade, investment, and cultural exchanges, while enhancing institutional cooperation between the two countries.
The state visit of King Abdullah II marks an important milestone in Uzbek–Jordanian relations, demonstrating the shared commitment of both nations to fostering stronger ties and contributing to regional stability and prosperity.
