Beijing, September 02, 2025 – The Europe Today: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presented his country’s investment potential at the meeting of the Kazakhstan–China Business Council in Beijing, according to the Akorda press service.
In his address, President Tokayev described China as a “reliable neighbor, close friend, and eternal strategic partner” of Kazakhstan. He emphasized that, grounded in shared history, good neighborliness, and mutual understanding, the two nations have developed strong and dynamic business relations.
Highlighting the importance of bilateral cooperation, Tokayev noted that China, under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, has become a key global partner of Kazakhstan across multiple sectors, particularly trade. He recalled that trade turnover between the two countries reached a record 44 billion US dollars last year.
Looking ahead, the Kazakh leader underlined the ambition to further increase trade within the next five years, stressing that both nations possess the necessary potential to achieve this goal.
