African Envoys’ Delegation, Led by Moroccan Ambassador Visits Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Islamabad, September 04, 2025 – The Europe Today: A delegation of African Ambassadors and High Commissioners based in Islamabad, led by H.E. Mohamed Karmoune, Dean of the African Corps and Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Pakistan, paid a visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan on Thursday.

The delegation met with H.E. Hamid Asghar Khan, Additional Secretary (Africa), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and conveyed solidarity with Pakistan over the tragic losses caused by flash floods triggered by heavy monsoon rains across the country.

Among the delegation was H.E. Dr. Jemal Beker Abdula, Special Envoy and Ambassador Extraordinary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Pakistan. Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker expressed Ethiopia’s deep condolences to the Government and people of Pakistan over the loss of lives and damage caused by the floods. He affirmed Ethiopia’s solidarity with Pakistan in facing the devastating impacts of climate change.

Additional Secretary (Africa) Hamid Asghar Khan extended gratitude to the Ambassadors of African countries for their expression of support, noting that Pakistan highly values the solidarity of African partners in its efforts to address the challenges of climate change and to advocate for climate justice.
