Islamabad, September 7, 2025 – The Europe Today: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) solemnly observed Martyrs’ Day across all PAF bases nationwide to honor the supreme sacrifices of its heroes. The day began with special prayers and Quran Khawani, dedicated to the martyrs of the 1965 and 1971 wars and to all who laid down their lives in the line of duty since the creation of Pakistan.

At Air Headquarters Islamabad, a central Martyrs’ Day ceremony was held, graced by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, as the Chief Guest.

In his address, the Air Chief highlighted the proud legacy of sacrifice, courage, and professionalism that defines the PAF. He noted that Martyrs’ Day embodies the extraordinary bravery and spirit of sacrifice demonstrated by Pakistan’s Armed Forces. He emphasized that, fully aware of the evolving security environment, the PAF remains steadfast in its mission, citing recent operational successes in Marka-e-Haq Bunyan-um-Marsoos as proof of its capability to guard the nation’s aerial frontiers.

Paying rich tribute to the martyrs, the Air Chief said, “We owe our heroes an eternal debt of gratitude for their supreme sacrifices, which serve as a lasting inspiration for future generations.” He also reaffirmed solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their legitimate struggle for self-determination.

Concluding his remarks, the Air Chief reiterated PAF’s resolve to continue advancing in space, electronic warfare, cyber technologies, niche domains, and indigenous defence production to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Later, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument and offered Fateha for the departed souls.
