Karachi, September 7, 2025 – The Europe Today: Today, a solemn wreath-laying ceremony was held today to honor the supreme sacrifice of Pilot Officer Rashid Minhas Shaheed, Nishan-e-Haider, as the nation observed Air Force Day.

A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), led by Air Vice Marshal Aamir Shahzad, Air Officer Commanding Southern Air Command, offered Fateha and laid a floral wreath at the grave of the national hero on behalf of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, PAF. The contingent paid glowing tribute to the young pilot whose unmatched courage and unwavering resolve safeguarded the dignity of the motherland.

Later, Air Vice Marshal Aamir Shahzad also placed a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument in the PAF Museum, Karachi, where participants reaffirmed their pledge to make the Pakistan Air Force an impregnable shield of the nation, ever ready to confront challenges with steadfastness and professionalism.
