Astana, September 16, 2025 — The Europe Today: A meeting of the Working Group of the Secretariat of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions was recently held in Astana.
As a standing body responsible for the preparation and organization of the global interfaith summit, the Working Group convened representatives from various religious traditions.
During the meeting, participants reiterated the significance of interfaith dialogue in fostering trust and social cohesion. The assembly also endorsed the main agenda of the upcoming VIII Congress and deliberated on ways to further advance spiritual diplomacy.
Special focus was placed on the draft Final Declaration of the Congress, emphasizing the need for a balanced, peace-oriented document that embodies the aspiration for international cooperation. The draft was approved and recommended for consideration at the XXIII Session of the Secretariat and the VIII Congress.
