Doha, September 16, 2025 — The Europe Today: On September 15, 2025, in Doha, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, was received by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.
During the meeting, the Emir conveyed his greetings and deep respect to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed his sincere gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for the support extended to Qatar and its people during a challenging period.
The Qatari Emir highlighted the high level of fraternal relations between the two states and their peoples, noting the promising prospects for expanding cooperation across a wide range of fields.
Special emphasis was placed on the importance of interaction between Turkmenistan and Qatar within the framework of international platforms, particularly the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other respected international organizations.
