Kazakh Government Approves National Action Plan to Implement President Tokayev’s State-of-the-Nation Address

Astana, September 16, 2025 — The Europe Today: The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Tuesday reviewed and approved the National Action Plan for the implementation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s recent State-of-the-Nation Address, according to media reports. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.

In his remarks, Prime Minister Bektenov emphasized that in the Address titled “Kazakhstan in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Current Challenges and Solutions through Digital Transformation”, the Head of State had tasked the Government with taking systematic measures to guide the country into a new phase of development.

“The Government has been assigned specific objectives for the introduction of digital solutions and artificial intelligence into the economy, agricultural sector, logistics, and housing and utilities. We will take effective measures to fulfill the President’s strategic initiatives aimed at improving the investment climate, modernizing key industries, enhancing the efficiency of state institutions, and ensuring social security for those in need,” Bektenov stated.

He further underscored the need to guarantee sustainable national development through comprehensive digital transformation, economic modernization, and the advancement of human capital.

Bektenov noted that the National Action Plan fully aligns with the Head of State’s directives, adding that leaders of government agencies must ensure the timely and high-quality execution of the measures, while financing issues should be resolved without delay.

The draft plan was unanimously supported during the government meeting. The Ministry of National Economy and the Government’s Office were instructed to submit the draft Presidential Decree to the Presidential Administration. Deputy Prime Ministers were assigned to oversee and coordinate the plan’s implementation.
