Baku, September 17, 2025 — The Europe Today: President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Fatali Khan Khoyski, a distinguished politician and statesman, recognized as one of the founders and the first Prime Minister of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR).
In accordance with the presidential decree, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Science and Education, will prepare and implement a comprehensive plan of events dedicated to honoring Khoyski’s legacy.
The commemoration will highlight the historical significance of Fatali Khan Khoyski’s contributions to Azerbaijan’s statehood and his pivotal role in the establishment of the first democratic republic in the Muslim East.
