Astana, September 18, 2025 — The Europe Today: Founder and CEO of Telegram Pavel Durov will visit Kazakhstan on October 2 to take part in the Digital Bridge 2025 Forum in Astana, the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry confirmed.
The event will mark the launch of the Alem.ai International AI Center, with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expected to attend the opening ceremony. Minister Zhaslan Madiyev emphasized that the forum will highlight Kazakhstan’s ambitions to become a leader in digital innovation and artificial intelligence.
A high-level plenary session will feature prominent international figures, including UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence Omar Sultan Al Olama, Sinovation Ventures founder Kai-Fu Lee, Stanford professor Ilya Strebulaev, and Google Research Director Peter Norvig. The discussion will be moderated by Solana Foundation President Lily Lou.
In addition, the forum will host a pitch session for top AI projects, with finalists competing across categories for school students, university students, and start-up teams. Their projects will be evaluated by global experts, investors, and policymakers, showcasing Kazakhstan’s vision of building a “Generative Nation” society.
