New York, September 23, 2025 — The Europe Today: An exhibition titled “Treasures Behind the Doors of Anatolia” was inaugurated at the Turkish House in New York City, USA, under the initiative of Türkiye’s First Lady, Emine Erdoğan.

The event saw the participation of Leyla Aliyeva, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, and Arzu Aliyeva, highlighting the significance of international collaboration in promoting cultural heritage.

The exhibition, featuring art pieces and handicrafts from ancient civilizations, aimed to showcase Anatolian culture and foster intercultural dialogue between Türkiye and the global community.

First Lady Emine Erdoğan emphasized that the event not only highlights the richness and intricacies of Anatolian culture rooted in millennia of history but also underscores the relevance of studying the skills and experiences of Anatolian people in contemporary life.

She further noted that the “Zero Waste” principle, which focuses on environmental protection, was not only a modern priority but also reflected in the practices of ancient Anatolian societies.

The exhibition was organized around three central themes:

  1. “The Fertility of the Soil” — highlighting Anatolia’s rich agricultural diversity;
  2. “The Gathering of the Kitchen” — showcasing culinary traditions; and
  3. “The Mastery of Hands” — celebrating traditional craftsmanship and artisanal skills.

Through this exhibition, Türkiye aims to promote cultural understanding and celebrate the historical legacy and sustainable practices of the Anatolian region.
