International Academic Network for a Community with a Shared Future 2025 Holds Annual Assembly in Beijing

Beijing, September 24, 2025 – The Europe Today: On September 23, 2025, the Annual Assembly of the International Academic Network for a Community with a Shared Future 2025 was held at the Communication University of China (CUC), Beijing. The gathering brought together directors and representatives from the Network’s international centers across 23 countries.

The Assembly was chaired by Professor Li Huailiang, Dean of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF), CUC, and commenced with a welcome address. The agenda highlighted a year of significant achievements and collaborations, fostering dialogue on building a shared future for humanity.

A notable moment in the proceedings was the presentation of the “Outstanding Individual Contribution Award 2025.” Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram was honored with this prestigious award for the fifth consecutive year (2021–2025). This rare distinction places him among the very few scholars consistently recognized for their contributions over multiple years. His award acknowledges his role as a leading researcher, particularly for his work over the past five years on the Belt and Road Initiative and the Community with a Shared Future across the 23 countries where the ICSF maintains its presence. His continued recognition underscores the depth of his scholarship, his commitment to advancing intercultural understanding, and his ability to bridge ideas between nations through research and dialogue.

A key segment of the Assembly was the exchange of work experiences and future plans, during which center directors shared insights and strategies from their respective regions. This was followed by a celebratory awards ceremony recognizing Outstanding International Centers, in which the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF) got the top prize in recognition of its exemplary contributions over the past five years across the 23 countries.

The Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF) also appointed seven new Special Research Fellows from Malaysia, Austria, Russia, and the United States, further expanding its global roster of thought leaders.

The event concluded with closing remarks, reaffirming the Network’s dedication to continued collaboration and intellectual exchange in the year ahead.
