Astana, September 24, 2025 – The Europe Today: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the further development of bilateral cooperation, the Akorda press service reported.
President Tokayev underscored that France is a key and reliable partner of Kazakhstan within the European Union. The two leaders noted that high-level agreements previously reached are delivering concrete results across a wide range of sectors, including energy, transport and logistics, agriculture, and healthcare.
They also welcomed the steady progress in cultural and humanitarian exchanges, which continue to strengthen mutual understanding between the two nations.
During the meeting, the Presidents of Kazakhstan and France exchanged views on current geopolitical issues and underlined the importance of close coordination in addressing global and regional challenges.
Particular attention was given to expanding trade and investment cooperation, as well as exploring new opportunities for joint projects in digitalization and financial technologies.
To support these efforts, Tokayev and Macron agreed to enhance dialogue between the business communities of both countries, thereby laying the groundwork for deeper economic partnership.
