Astana, October 3, 2025 – The Europe Today: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the Kazakhstani team that achieved outstanding success at the International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI), held in Beijing, the Akorda press service reported.
Kazakhstan’s young AI specialists secured a total of seven medals, including three gold, one silver, and three bronze. Their achievement placed Kazakhstan 4th in the unofficial global medal standings, ahead of leading countries such as China and the United States.
The 2025 IOAI brought together more than 280 young researchers and developers from over 60 countries, serving as a platform to showcase emerging talent and innovation in artificial intelligence.
President Tokayev congratulated the winners, praising their determination, talent, and contribution to strengthening Kazakhstan’s global scientific reputation. He noted that their success reflects the country’s growing potential in digital technologies and innovation.
