Islamabad, October 3, 2025 – The Europe Today: A meeting was convened at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad with a delegation from the Pakistan Regional Economic Forum (PREF), led by its Chairman, Mr. Haroon Sharif.

During the session, Turkmenistan’s Ambassador, A. Movlamov, delivered a comprehensive presentation on Neutral Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, its energy potential, and logistical capabilities. He underscored the strategic significance of regional energy and infrastructural projects in meeting Pakistan’s growing energy demands and enhancing regional connectivity.

The Ambassador also highlighted the importance of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held in August 2025 in Awaza, Turkmenistan, which provided a platform to promote international cooperation for sustainable development and greater integration of landlocked states.

The Pakistani delegation expressed strong interest in deepening collaboration with Turkmenistan in the fields of energy, trade, and transport, noting that Islamabad’s active participation in such initiatives paves the way for long-term partnerships and broader economic integration.

Both sides emphasized the critical role of the private sector in driving bilateral cooperation. In this regard, the parties agreed to encourage the active engagement of entrepreneurs and enterprises from both countries in advancing promising initiatives. This includes participation in international exhibitions and industry forums, the creation of joint ventures, and the strengthening of investment and trade partnerships.
