President Pezeshkian Urges Newly Appointed Ambassadors to Strengthen Cooperation and Promote Iranian Exports

Pezeshkian

Tehran, October 8, 2025 – The Europe Today: President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday emphasized the pivotal role of Iranian ambassadors in advancing the country’s foreign relations, describing their overseas assignments as a valuable opportunity to open new avenues for economic, scientific, and technological cooperation.

Speaking at a farewell ceremony for the newly appointed ambassadors of Iran to India, Bangladesh, North Korea, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Mali, President Pezeshkian underscored that their diplomatic missions could serve as catalysts for joint projects in key areas such as exports, imports, and innovation exchange.

Extending his best wishes to the diplomats, the president called for intensified efforts to strengthen Iran’s relations with their host countries, especially in light of the current sensitive regional and international conditions.

Reiterating Iran’s long-standing foreign policy principles, Pezeshkian highlighted the importance of constructive and effective engagement with the global community. He urged the ambassadors to clearly articulate Iran’s fundamental and strategic positions while exposing the unjust and unilateral sanctions imposed by the United States, which he described as coercive and contrary to international law.

Expressing confidence in their ability to navigate these challenges, the president encouraged the ambassadors to utilize the economic capacities and resources of their host nations to strengthen cooperation. He also emphasized the need to identify and remove communication and banking barriers that hinder bilateral trade and investment.

President Pezeshkian further stressed the importance of supporting domestic production and promoting Iranian exports, urging the diplomats to actively market Iranian goods abroad, resolve financial obstacles, and facilitate the use of national currencies in trade transactions.

During the ceremony, the newly appointed ambassadors — Mohammad Fathali (India), Jalil Rahimi Jahanabadi (Bangladesh), Abbas Talabifar (North Korea), Gholamreza Mahdavi Raja (Nigeria), Mohammad Javad Hemmatpanah (Tanzania), and Mahmoud Khani Jooyabad (Mali) — outlined their respective goals and priorities for enhancing bilateral relations and promoting comprehensive cooperation across economic, political, scientific, and cultural fields.

They reaffirmed their commitment to taking practical and effective measures to elevate Iran’s international standing and foster mutually beneficial partnerships with their host countries.
