Washington, October 9, 2025 – The Europe Today:  U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of a Gaza peace plan, marking a significant step toward resolving the longstanding conflict.

In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump said, “I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan. This means that all of the hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their troops to an agreed-upon line as the first steps toward a strong, durable, and everlasting peace.”

The President expressed confidence that all parties involved will be treated fairly, adding, “This is a great day for the Arab and Muslim world, Israel, all surrounding nations, and the United States of America.”

Trump also extended his gratitude to mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Türkiye, describing the development as a “historic and unprecedented event.”

The agreement on the first phase represents an initial milestone in efforts to bring lasting peace to the Gaza region and underscores the importance of international cooperation in the peace process.
