NLPD–ICSF Holds Certificate Ceremony for Pak–China Calligraphy Competition

Islamabad, October 16, 2025 – The Europe Today: Today, Certificate giving Ceremony for Pak-China Calligraphy Competition held in held at the National Language Promotion Department (NLPD), Ministry of National Heritage and Culture Division, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad.

The competition was jointly organized by the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF), Communication University of China (CUC), Beijing, the National Language Promotion Department (NLPD), Islamabad, and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Pakistan. The initiative aimed to celebrate the deep-rooted friendship and shared cultural heritage of Pakistan and China through the artistic expression of Urdu and Chinese calligraphy.

The exhibition titled “Pakistan–China Exemplary Friendship: In Light of Calligraphic Art Exhibition” was first held in Pakistan at the National Language Promotion Department (NLPD), Islamabad, on 28th August 2025, and later in China at the Communication University of China, Beijing, from 22nd to 25th September 2025. Students and artists showcased their calligraphic works in Urdu and Chinese, celebrating the timeless beauty of both languages as symbols of cultural harmony and mutual respect.

On behalf of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future (ICSF), Communication University of China (CUC), Beijing, Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), distributed certificates among student participants whose artworks were displayed in both the Islamabad and Beijing exhibitions. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Director General, NLPD, also awarded certificates to participating students and contributors.

A special acknowledgment certificate was presented to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar on behalf of the Institute for a Community with Shared Future, Communication University of China, Beijing, while Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Language Promotion Department in recognition of his contributions to promoting cultural diplomacy and academic collaboration.

The event was moderated by Ms. Yusra Binte Nisar, Research Coordinator at the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), who commended the dedication of participants and the success of the collaborative initiative.

The ceremony concluded with appreciation for the efforts of students, organizers, and partner institutions, reaffirming the shared commitment of Pakistan and China to cultural cooperation and the vision of building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind.
