Astana, October 19, 2025 — The Europe Today: The Astana Think Tank Forum 2025 was held on October 15–16 in the Kazakh capital under the theme “From Polarization to Partnership: Rebuilding Trust in the International System.” The event brought together representatives of government institutions, international organizations, think tanks, and diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan to deliberate on pressing global political challenges and explore pathways to enhance international cooperation.

A special session, titled “Central Asian Forum on Security and Cooperation – Central Asia in the Changing Architecture of Global Security: Challenges and Opportunities,” featured the participation of Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan B. During the session, participants discussed the vital role of neutrality in ensuring sustainability and stability in Central Asia. Ambassador Rejepov emphasized that Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality continues to serve as a cornerstone for peace, dialogue, and mutual understanding both regionally and globally.

The forum also highlighted Turkmenistan’s neutral platform as a valuable mechanism for advancing energy, transport, and environmental security, as well as strengthening its function as a bridge between East and West, and North and South.

In concluding the discussions, participants underlined that Turkmenistan’s positive neutrality represents a unique model of foreign policy and serves as an effective instrument for promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development across the region and beyond.
