Jakarta, October 20, 2025 — The Europe Today: The 2025 Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) concluded on a high note with total transactions reaching US$22.8 billion, far surpassing the initial target of US$16.5 billion, Trade Minister Budi Santoso announced during the event’s closing ceremony in Tangerang District, Banten Province, on Sunday.
“The transactions recorded during the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia amounted to US$22.8 billion,” Minister Santoso stated, emphasizing the strong international confidence in Indonesia’s products, services, and investment opportunities.
Record-Breaking Transactions and Participation
According to the minister, the total value comprised US$17.9 billion in goods trade, US$443.7 million in services, and US$4.37 billion in investment. The transactions were generated from memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth US$22.7 billion, on-the-spot deals totaling US$71.6 million, and business matching agreements valued at US$63.4 million.
Santoso highlighted that on-the-spot and business matching transactions increased by up to 88 percent compared with the 2024 edition, reflecting enhanced business engagement and investor confidence.
Held from October 15 to 19, the 2025 TEI attracted 34,550 visitors from 131 countries, exceeding the target of 30,000 attendees. The number of exhibitors also surpassed expectations, reaching 1,619 compared with the initial goal of 1,500.
Diverse Exhibits Showcasing Indonesia’s Strengths
The exhibition featured a broad spectrum of industries. In the food, beverage, agriculture, product licensing, and franchise zones, 623 exhibitors presented products ranging from premium coffee to halal-certified goods. The fashion, lifestyle, and creative industry zones brought together 603 exhibitors, while 393 exhibitors participated in the manufactured products and services zones, offering textiles, footwear, pharmaceuticals, and logistics services.
The event also hosted B2B business matching sessions, trade missions, business forums, and counseling and networking activities, fostering new partnerships and expanding export opportunities.
Driving Indonesia’s Global Trade Vision
This year’s expo was held under the theme “Discover Indonesia’s Excellence: Trade Beyond Boundaries,” embodying President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita vision to strengthen downstream industries, promote national industrialization, and enhance Indonesia’s position in the global supply chain.
Minister Santoso emphasized that the strong results of the 2025 TEI demonstrate the growing competitiveness of Indonesian industries and the success of national efforts to diversify exports and attract foreign investment.
He affirmed that the government remains committed to supporting Indonesian businesses in reaching global markets through innovation, sustainable trade practices, and stronger international partnerships.
