Tehran, October 21, 2025 — The Europe Today: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres held a telephone conversation to exchange views on regional developments, focusing on the situations in Gaza and Yemen, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry.
During the discussion, Minister Araghchi underscored the international community’s responsibility to prevent the continued violation of the ceasefire by the Zionist regime and to ensure the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.
He condemned the ongoing aggression against Yemen and reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to continue working with the United Nations to promote stability in the country and safeguard security across the wider region.
For his part, UN Secretary-General Guterres expressed appreciation for Iran’s constructive efforts and emphasized the importance of maintaining diplomatic engagement to help restore peace, stability, and security in Yemen and the region.
