Baku, October 21, 2025 — The Europe Today: Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, held separate meetings with Saara Kuugongelwa, Speaker of the National Assembly of Namibia, and Denis Zvizdić, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the sidelines of the 151st Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva, Switzerland.
During the discussions, the sides noted that major international forums like the IPU Assembly serve as an effective platform for addressing global challenges, advancing dialogue, and proposing practical solutions. They also reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and explored avenues for strengthening parliamentary cooperation.
Both parties emphasized the significance of collaboration within international parliamentary organizations and praised the activities of the Non-Aligned Movement Parliamentary Network, established at the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev. They highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance the institutional capacity and global standing of the Network.
The meetings further addressed issues of mutual concern and reaffirmed the commitment to continued inter-parliamentary engagement.
