Tokayev, Putin Discuss Upcoming State Visit to Russia in Phone Call

AstanaOctober 27, 2025 – The Europe Today: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Akorda press service reported on Monday.

During the discussion, the two leaders reviewed preparations for President Tokayev’s forthcoming state visit to Russia. Both sides emphasized the significance of the upcoming talks in Moscow, underscoring their importance in strengthening the strategic partnership and allied relations between Kazakhstan and Russia.

The presidents also exchanged views on key issues concerning the current international agenda.

Meanwhile, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov noted that Moscow is eagerly anticipating President Tokayev’s first state visit, which is expected to coincide with the II Kazakhstan–Russia Media Forum.
