Iran, UN Discuss Developments in Yemen and Regional Stability Efforts

Yemen

TehranOctober 31, 2025 – The Europe Today: During a recent meeting, officials discussed the latest political and field developments in Yemen, including airstrikes against Yemeni territory, the roadmap for a peace agreement, the humanitarian crisis, and other issues of mutual concern.

In a related development earlier in October, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, during which they exchanged views on key regional developments, particularly the situations in Gaza and Yemen.

Minister Araghchi underscored the responsibility of the international community to prevent the ongoing violations of the ceasefire by the Zionist regime and to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

Addressing the situation in Yemen, Araghchi condemned the Zionist regime’s aggression against the country and reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to cooperate with the United Nations in efforts aimed at restoring stability in Yemen and preserving security across the region.

For his part, UN Secretary-General Guterres commended the constructive role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting peace initiatives and emphasized the importance of continued diplomatic consultations to help achieve stability and security in Yemen and the wider region.
