Baku, November 02, 2025 – The Europe Today: Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, took part in the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum during her working visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The prestigious event brought together state, government, and parliamentary leaders from various countries, highlighting Egypt’s cultural and historical significance on the global stage.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt delivered the opening address, welcoming international guests and emphasizing the museum’s role as a bridge between civilizations and a symbol of Egypt’s enduring heritage.
The ceremony featured an artistic program showcasing the richness of Egyptian culture, followed by the unveiling of some of the museum’s most iconic artifacts.
The Grand Egyptian Museum, now one of the world’s largest archaeological institutions, houses over 100,000 artifacts spanning different eras of Egyptian civilization, offering visitors an unparalleled journey through the country’s ancient history and cultural legacy.
