Azerbaijan’s Sudabe Agayeva Wins Gold at 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh

RiyadhNovember 10, 2025 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijani judoka Sudabe Agayeva clinched the gold medal at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh.

Competing in the 70 kg weight category, Agayeva delivered an outstanding performance, defeating Uzbekistan’s Khurshida Razzokberdieva in the final bout to secure the top podium position.

Her compatriot Aytaj Gardashkhanli, also competing in the 70 kg division, earned the bronze medal, adding to Azerbaijan’s impressive tally at the ongoing event.

Later today, Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg) will compete for gold, while Günel Hasanli (78 kg), Eljan Hajıyev (90 kg), and Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg) will each vie for bronze medals in their respective categories.

Azerbaijan’s judo contingent has shown remarkable form at the Games, having already secured one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals in yesterday’s competitions, underscoring the nation’s continued excellence and depth in the sport.
