Baku In accordance with the 2025 training plan approved by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, solemn military oath-taking ceremonies for young soldiers were held across the Azerbaijan Army, the Ministry of Defense reported.

The ceremonies commenced with the arrival of battle flags at the parade grounds, accompanied by military orchestras.

Participants observed a minute of silence in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was then performed.

During the ceremonies, the young soldiers took their military oaths, pledging unwavering loyalty to the Motherland and the Azerbaijani people.

Representatives of the Ministry of Defense and commanders of military units addressed the participants, congratulating the young soldiers on this significant milestone. They called upon them to remain devoted to the Motherland, the state, and the Commander-in-Chief, to serve with honor, master their weapons and equipment, enhance their combat readiness, and be ever prepared to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Speakers highlighted the special significance of holding the oath-taking ceremony on November 9 — the State Flag Day — noting that it added great symbolic value and pride to the occasion, making it a double celebration for the military personnel.

Parents of the young servicemen expressed pride in their sons’ honorable service and extended gratitude to the head of state and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense for ensuring excellent conditions for military service.

The ceremonies concluded with a solemn military parade and concert programs dedicated to both the oath-taking ceremony and the State Flag Day, reflecting the deep patriotism and spirit of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
