Islamabad, November 15, 2025 – The Europe Today: The 42nd Anniversary of the proclamation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) was commemorated in Islamabad on Friday with a dignified ceremony attended by diplomats, government officials, and members of the Turkish Cypriot community.
The celebration featured a ceremonial cake cutting jointly conducted by Naeem Cheema from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador of Türkiye Dr. Irfan Neziroğlu, and the TRNC Representative in Islamabad, Ms. Buket Kop. A number of distinguished guests and representatives from various diplomatic missions were also present.
Speakers at the gathering underscored the historic significance of the TRNC’s proclamation and reaffirmed the enduring ties between Türkiye, the TRNC, and Pakistan. They highlighted the shared values of cooperation, mutual respect, and the commitment to strengthening diplomatic and people-to-people relations.
The event concluded with expressions of solidarity and optimism for sustained peace, stability, and development in the region, reflecting the collective aspirations of the participating nations.
