Ashgabat, November 21, 2025 – The Europe Today: The 10th meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Tatarstan Working Group on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation commenced on Friday at the Yyldyz Hotel in the Turkmen capital.
A high-level delegation led by O. Korobchenko, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, arrived in Ashgabat to take part in the session.
The agenda focused on the practical implementation of earlier agreements and the identification of promising areas to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Opening the meeting, the co-chairs expressed satisfaction with the consistently high level of Turkmenistan–Tatarstan relations, underscoring their foundation on mutual trust, respect and benefit. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to fully leveraging existing potential to advance joint initiatives.
The discussions highlighted prospects for expanding collaboration across priority sectors, including trade and economy, oil and gas, energy and industry. Special attention was also given to enhancing cooperation in transport, communications and information technology, as well as in textiles, agriculture, environmental protection, science, education, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, culture, sports and youth policy.
Participants emphasized that Turkmenistan’s favorable investment climate and its growing reputation as a reliable international partner continue to play a vital role in strengthening mutually beneficial trade and economic ties.
It was further noted that the implementation of joint projects across various sectors would yield tangible benefits for both Turkmenistan and Tatarstan.
