Ashgabat, November 23, 2025 – The Europe Today: A telephone conversation took place between Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and Mihai Popșoi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova.
During the discussion, the two sides reviewed current areas of bilateral cooperation as well as prospects for expanding their partnership. Both ministers highlighted the effective collaboration between Turkmenistan and Moldova within international organisations, particularly the United Nations.
It was noted that a high-level delegation from the Republic of Moldova actively participated in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), held in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone in August of this year.
The ministers also exchanged views on preparations for the upcoming International Forum of Peace and Trust, scheduled to take place in Ashgabat on 12 December. The event will commemorate the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, the International Year of Peace and Trust, as well as the International Day of Neutrality.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing constructive dialogue and strengthening cooperation across all mutually beneficial spheres.
