Baku, November 29, 2025 – The Europe Today: Azerbaijani boxer Subhan Mamedov has claimed the gold medal at the U23 European Championships held in Budapest, Hungary, marking a significant achievement for the nation’s boxing contingent.
Mamedov secured the championship title in the men’s 50kg category after defeating Ukraine’s Maksym Rudyk with a 4-1 decision in the final bout.
The victory adds to Azerbaijan’s growing successes in international boxing and highlights Mamedov’s rising stature in the sport.
