Ashgabat, December 7, 2025 – The Europe Today: A solemn ceremony was held on December 6, 2025, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to award staff members of the national diplomatic service with the jubilee medal «Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna» (“To the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Neutrality”).
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov addressed the participants, highlighting the significance of the major international events taking place in Turkmenistan during the celebrations. He emphasized the importance of the upcoming International Forum scheduled for December 12 in Ashgabat, dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, International Neutrality Day, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
Meredov underlined that Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality has earned broad international recognition due to the consistent and targeted diplomatic efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
He noted that the diplomatic service faces key responsibilities in further strengthening Turkmenistan’s standing in the global arena, expanding international dialogue, and advancing initiatives aimed at promoting peace, stability, and sustainable development.
During the ceremony, Meredov read out the Presidential Decree on awarding the jubilee medals and formally presented state decorations and commemorative badges to Foreign Ministry staff. The high honors were awarded to diplomats who have made significant contributions to strengthening Turkmenistan’s independence, supporting the legal foundations of the country’s permanent neutrality, and enhancing its international prestige.
