Tursunzoda, December 9, 2025 — The Europe Today: President Emomali Rahmon inaugurated a major new industrial facility, Aluminiy Avvalin (First Aluminum) LLC, marking a significant step in Tajikistan’s expanding aluminum processing sector. The plant, established by local entrepreneur Khurshed Azizov in partnership with the foreign company Treks Muhandislik, is one of the country’s largest new manufacturing enterprises.

Built in honor of Tajikistan’s upcoming 35th anniversary of independence, the facility spans 6.2 hectares and was constructed according to high international standards. Work began in October 2022 and was completed on schedule.

Located in the industrial zone of Tursunzoda, the plant features advanced technological lines capable of producing 40 types of aluminum profiles. Its annual production capacity is 10,000 tons of high-quality aluminum products. The enterprise has created 160 permanent jobs, contributing to local employment and supporting regional industrial development.

In addition to the industrial inauguration, President Rahmon opened Secondary School No. 23 in the village of Regar. The modern educational facility accommodates 1,056 students in two shifts and includes 20 classrooms and specialized laboratories for chemistry, biology, physics, geography, IT, vocational training, and basic military preparation.

Via virtual conference, the president also inaugurated eight additional educational institutions across Tursunzoda, including schools in Rohat, Faizobod, Shurkhok, Yuldosh Ashourov, Husnobod, Navobod, Shulum, and the village of 10th Anniversary of Independence. Combined, these schools will serve around 8,000 students and provide employment for 400 teachers.

As part of his visit, President Rahmon opened the private kindergarten “Ghunchahoi Istiqlol” in the village of Ismoili Somoni. The facility can accommodate 250 children and is equipped with modern furniture, educational toys, and multilingual instruction in Tajik, Russian, and English.
