Ashgabat, December 13, 2025 – The Europe Today: UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Executive Secretary Tatiana Molchan on Friday praised Turkmenistan’s initiatives to promote global dialogue and international cooperation during the International Forum on Peace and Trust, Turkmen state media reported.
Speaking at the forum in Ashgabat, Molchan commended Turkmenistan’s efforts to advance the concept of a “peace architecture,” highlighting that cooperation in transport, trade and energy sectors fosters a network of interdependence among countries.
She also underscored Turkmenistan’s significant role in water resource management under international conventions, noting that effective governance of water resources is becoming increasingly critical amid growing climate-related challenges.
The forum was attended by several regional leaders, with addresses delivered by the presidents of Armenia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Türkiye and Uzbekistan, reflecting broad engagement in promoting peace, trust and regional cooperation.
