London, December 14, 2025 – The Europe Today: King Charles delivered encouraging news regarding his health, stating that early detection and “effective intervention” have enabled his cancer treatment to be scaled back in the coming year, according to media reports.
In a pre-recorded message aired on Channel 4 on Friday as part of the Stand Up To Cancer campaign, the 77-year-old monarch said, “This milestone is both a personal blessing and a testimony to the remarkable advances that have been made in cancer care.” The update, confirming that he is responding positively to treatment, marks the most significant public information on his health since he announced his diagnosis in February 2024.
While the specific type of cancer has not been disclosed, King Charles emphasized the importance of early diagnosis in achieving positive outcomes. “Today I am able to share with you the good news that thanks to early diagnosis, effective intervention and adherence to doctors’ orders, my own schedule of cancer treatment can be reduced in the new year,” he said.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that the king’s recovery has progressed very well, noting that he has “responded exceptionally well to treatment,” prompting doctors to move his care “into a precautionary phase.”
Although the frequency of his treatment will be substantially reduced, the palace clarified that King Charles has not been described as being in remission or “cured.”
The monarch’s statement comes as part of a broader campaign to raise awareness of cancer research and the benefits of early detection, with King Charles highlighting the role of medical advances in improving patient outcomes.
