President Zardari Reaffirms Pakistan’s Resolve Against Terrorism on APS Peshawar Anniversary

Zardari

Islamabad, December 16, 2025 – The Europe Today: President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to defeating terrorism, stressing that there could be no leniency for terrorists or for those who support, finance, shelter, or justify them.

In a message issued on the 11th anniversary of the Army Public School (APS) Peshawar attack, the president said there could be no negotiations with those who take up arms against the state or target innocent children. He said the memory of the APS martyrs continued to strengthen the nation’s resolve, adding that Pakistan would never allow enemies of peace to succeed.

The president recalled the tragic terrorist attack on December 16, 2014, in which innocent students and staff of the Army Public School lost their lives, describing their sacrifice as a solemn reminder of the heavy price the nation has paid in its fight against terrorism. He expressed solidarity with the bereaved families, noting that the nation would always honour the resilience of the APS families who transformed their grief into strength for Pakistan.

President Zardari also strongly condemned what he described as Indian-sponsored terrorism in Pakistan, stating that evidence of such involvement in efforts to destabilize the country was well documented. He said Pakistan would continue to expose these hostile activities and defend its people with full resolve, according to a press release issued by the President Secretariat Press Wing.

He paid tribute to the security forces, law enforcement agencies, and intelligence services for their efforts in preventing many such tragedies, and vowed that the state would continue to pursue every terrorist and facilitator until justice was served.

The president further warned apologists, facilitators, and supporters of terrorism that the people and armed forces of Pakistan would not spare them, regardless of the political, ideological, or false religious narratives they seek to employ.
