Indonesia Signs Five-Year Cyber Security Cooperation Agreement to Support Digital Transformation

Jakarta, December 19, 2025 – The Europe Today: Indonesia’s National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN) and the Ministry of National Development Planning on Thursday signed a five-year cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening national cyber security and supporting the government’s digital transformation agenda.

The agreement was signed by Head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency Nugroho Sulistyo Budi and Minister of National Development Planning Rachmat Pambudy at BSSN headquarters in Jakarta, according to an official statement.

Under the memorandum of understanding, the two institutions will cooperate in the fields of cyber security and cryptography, including electronic certification, development planning support, data sharing and the provision of related services.

In addition, a separate cooperation agreement was signed by BSSN Secretary-General YB Susilo Wibowo and Secretary-General of the Ministry of National Development Planning Teni Widuriyanti to expand technical collaboration between the two institutions.

The partnership also covers education, training and competency development, as well as joint campaigns and literacy programmes aimed at strengthening the national culture of information security. Senior officials from both sides further signed technical cooperation agreements related to operational, financing and investment aspects of cyber security programmes.

Both institutions said the agreements reflect a shared commitment to enhancing Indonesia’s national cyber resilience and accelerating digital transformation in line with the policy priorities of President Prabowo Subianto.
