Islamabad, December 19, 2025 – The Europe Today: On 19 December, the Embassy of Romania had the pleasure of hosting a special Christmas concert celebrating the joy and spirit of the holiday season, marking the conclusion of the Romanian Cultural Days in Pakistan. The event took place in a festive and welcoming atmosphere, bringing together culture, music, and community.
Renowned Romanian soprano Georgiana Costea-Glugă, accompanied by pianist Sheeza Maqsood, offered an enchanting evening of carols and seasonal music at Saint Thomas Church in Islamabad. The audience enjoyed a unique musical journey featuring some of the most beautiful traditional Christmas carols from Romania and around the world.
Guests were treated to a rich and varied program, including iconic Romanian carols such as “Moș Crăciun cu plete dalbe” and “O, ce veste minunată”, alongside internationally cherished pieces like “Silent Night” and other festive classics. The performances created a warm, joyful, and celebratory atmosphere.
The event brought together members of the diplomatic community, members of the Romanian community, friends of Romania, and music lovers, highlighting the unifying power of culture and music, as well as the shared values of the Christmas season.
