Baku, December 28, 2025 – The Europe Today: The Baku Convention Center hosted the annual traditional Jirtdan mega-show for children in need of special care, organized at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union.
Presented under the title “Jirtdan: Journey Through Time,” the event aimed to bring joy and festive cheer to vulnerable children on the eve of the New Year. The first performance was held specifically for children residing in orphanages, boarding schools, and special boarding institutions.
A total of 948 children from 17 childcare institutions attended the show, enjoying a colorful and engaging performance that combined entertainment with a warm holiday atmosphere. IDEA volunteers also distributed gifts to the young attendees, adding to the sense of celebration and care.
The traditional New Year initiative once again underscored the commitment of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the IDEA Public Union to supporting children with special care needs, creating unforgettable moments and spreading happiness and festive spirit among young audiences.
