Baku, December 30, 2025 – The Europe Today: On December 29, a special festive event was organized for children in need of special care at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and head of the IDEA Public Union, ahead of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day (December 31) and the upcoming New Year.

The event was attended by Leyla Aliyeva, Arzu Aliyeva, founder and head of Baku Media Center, and Alena Aliyeva.

During the celebration, a special New Year edition of the “Göyərçin” (Dove) magazine for children was presented. Initiated by Leyla Aliyeva, this monthly publication—edited by Professor Rafig Yusifoglu—has been serving preschool and primary school readers since 1958.

People’s Artist Faig Aghayev also joined the festivities, performing popular hits from his repertoire. Leyla Aliyeva, Arzu Aliyeva, and Alena Aliyeva participated in the celebrations alongside the children on the dance floor, sharing in the joy and festivities.

In addition, residents from Orphanage No. 2 and No. 3 social service institutions showcased their own dancing talents, adding a lively and heartfelt dimension to the program.

The event highlighted ongoing efforts to support children in need of special care, promoting inclusivity, creativity, and festive cheer during this special time of the year.
