Islamabad, December 31, 2025 – The Europe Today: Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Pakistan, H.E. Alisher Tukhtaev, has extended warm New Year greetings, reflecting on the challenges and achievements of 2025 while expressing optimism for the year ahead.

In his New Year message, Ambassador Tukhtaev described 2025 as a year marked by significant events that demanded resilience, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility. He noted that despite challenges requiring difficult decisions and perseverance, such experiences played a vital role in shaping individuals and institutions alike.

The Ambassador emphasized that the year underscored the importance of fundamental human values, including mutual support, sincerity, respect, and dignity. He stressed that true strength lies in calmness, honest work, selfless service to one’s country, and remaining faithful to one’s principles.

Highlighting Uzbekistan’s national progress, Ambassador Tukhtaev said that 2025 was a year of confident advancement for the country. He noted the continuation of large-scale reforms, strong development indicators, and the further strengthening of Uzbekistan’s position on the international stage. Tangible improvements in the economy, social sector, infrastructure, and foreign policy, he added, have enhanced global trust and respect for Uzbekistan—an achievement he attributed to strong political will, systematic reforms, and the dedicated efforts of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, his team, and the Uzbek people.

Ambassador Tukhtaev also underscored the deepening fraternal relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. He said that over the past year, both countries significantly expanded political dialogue and strengthened cooperation in trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian spheres, while further reinforcing people-to-people ties. Based on mutual respect, trust, and historical closeness, he noted, Uzbek–Pakistani relations are increasingly taking on a more practical and strategic character.

Expressing gratitude, the Ambassador thanked colleagues, partners, and friends for their professionalism, dedication, and support throughout the year, noting that their contributions were instrumental to shared achievements.

Concluding his message, Ambassador Tukhtaev conveyed his best wishes for peace, stability, and new opportunities in the coming year. He wished good health, family well-being, confidence, and strength to realize ambitious goals, expressing hope that 2026 would be a year of new achievements for the peoples of Uzbekistan and Pakistan, and for Uzbekistan in particular.
