Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva Attend Festive Celebration at Baku’s “Hold My Hand” Children’s Center

Baku, January 2, 2026 – The Europe Today: A festive celebration was held at the “Hold My Hand” Social Rehabilitation Center for Children on December 31, marking World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year, organized at the initiative of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Affairs.

The event was attended by Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and Arzu Aliyeva, Head of the Baku Media Center. Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden entertained the children, creating a joyful and vibrant holiday atmosphere.

During the visit, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva toured the facility to review the social and psychological environment provided for the children. They were briefed on the center’s rehabilitation and development-focused service models and received an overview of its operations.

Bahar Muradova, Chairperson of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Affairs, highlighted the center’s key mission, emphasizing that the “Hold My Hand” Social Rehabilitation Center provides a safe and nurturing environment for children in vulnerable situations, including those deprived of parental care. She noted that the center focuses on supporting social adaptation, psychosocial well-being, and equipping children for independent futures.

The celebration concluded with the distribution of holiday gifts and well-wishes for World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year.

In addition, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva viewed a car donated by “AzerEnergy” OJSC, designed to meet the center’s needs. The new vehicle is expected to enhance the efficiency of the center’s outreach, facilitating smoother access to social and developmental programs for the children.

The visit concluded with discussions on further strengthening the capabilities of social rehabilitation centers across the country.
