Fujairah, January 3, 2026 – The Europe Today: Kazakhstan’s fencing representative, Sofiya Aktayeva, clinched second place at the 2026 FIE Junior Foil World Cup held in Fujairah, the United Arab Emirates, the National Olympic Committee announced.
Aktayeva finished as the runner-up in the women’s foil category, narrowly losing to Russia’s Stefania Chasovnikova 11-15 in the final bout.
With this performance, Sofiya Aktayeva secured the silver medal at the prestigious international tournament, marking a significant achievement for Kazakhstan in junior fencing.
