Washington, January 4, 2026 — The Europe Today: U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed gratitude to the U.S. military for their “breathtaking speed, power, precision and competence” in an operation reportedly targeting Venezuela, according to media reports.
In a statement, Trump described the forces involved as “highly trained warriors” working in close coordination with U.S. law enforcement agencies. He noted that Venezuelan forces had been “waiting for us” with “many ships out,” but despite being in a “ready position,” they were “completely overwhelmed and very quickly incapacitated.”
Trump further emphasized that no U.S. servicemen were killed during the operation and no equipment was lost. He highlighted the U.S. military’s role in combating drug trafficking, claiming that it has “knocked out 97% of drugs coming in by sea,” and alleging that each drug shipment results in an average of 25,000 deaths.
The president’s comments come amid escalating tensions and reports of U.S. interventions in the region, drawing international attention and reactions from various governments.
