Aliyev

Baku, January 10, 2026 – The Europe Today:  The renovated Secondary School No. 2 in Ujar district has been officially commissioned, following extensive restoration work carried out under the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Originally constructed between 1958 and 1960, the school building had become unusable due to structural deterioration. The reconstruction of the three-story, five-block school, with a seating capacity of 720 students, was completed in December 2025.

The modernized school now features fully equipped classrooms, laboratories for physics, chemistry, and biology, information technology rooms, military training facilities, labor workshops, a library, a canteen, sports halls, and an open-air sports ground. The institution has also been provided with all necessary furniture and educational equipment, ensuring a safe and advanced learning environment for students.

The commissioning of the school reflects ongoing efforts to upgrade educational infrastructure across the region, supporting the academic and personal development of future generations.
