UAE, Lebanon Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation at World Governments Summit

Dubai, February 4, 2026 — The Europe Today: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, received Dr. Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic, on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit in Dubai on Wednesday.

During the meeting, both sides discussed the fraternal relations between the UAE and Lebanon, avenues for cooperation, and joint initiatives aimed at strengthening ties in a way that serves their mutual interests and supports the aspirations of their peoples for development and prosperity.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Dr. Salam also addressed several topics on the summit’s agenda related to advancing comprehensive development in societies. The discussion further encompassed regional and international issues of mutual interest, with both leaders exchanging views on these matters.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed the depth of UAE-Lebanon relations and reiterated the UAE’s support for all efforts contributing to Lebanon’s development, prosperity, and the wellbeing of its people.

The meeting was attended by Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, and Fahad Salem Saeed AlKaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Lebanese Republic.
